What is iToezichtProtocol?
iToezichtProtocol (ITP) is a digital inspection platform for municipalities and environmental services. It enables inspectors to carry out building and environmental inspections fully digitally — via an iPad app in the field and a web back office at the office — compliant with BRL 5006 and VTH legislation.
What is BRL 5006 and why does certification matter?
BRL 5006 is the assessment guideline for conducting building inspections in the Netherlands. Municipalities that outsource building supervision are required to work with certified organisations and certified systems. iToezichtProtocol is specifically built to comply with these certification requirements.
Does iToezichtProtocol work without internet?
Yes. The iPad app works fully offline in the field. Findings, photos and risk scores are stored locally and automatically synchronised once connectivity is restored. This is essential for inspectors working on construction sites with limited or no internet access.
Which case systems integrate with iToezichtProtocol?
iToezichtProtocol integrates as standard with widely used case systems such as OpenZaak, SAMEN ZaakgerichtWerken and e-Suite (PinkRoccade) for generic case management. How secure is my inspection data in iToezichtProtocol?
All inspection data is stored on servers within the European Union, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is strictly role-based. iToezichtProtocol is GDPR compliant and meets the BIO (Government Information Security Baseline). A data processing agreement is included as standard.
Is there a free version of iToezichtProtocol?
Yes. The Starter plan is completely free for 1 inspector with 1 active project. You can try the platform for three months with no commitment. Scale up to the Essential or Custom plan when your organisation is ready.
